Voice Recorder

Voice recording for notes, talks and ideas

Voice Recorder is an audio recording app from Smart Mobi Tools for capturing voice memos, lectures, meetings, interviews, podcasts, music and songs. It suits students who want to save explanations, journalists collecting spoken notes, musicians testing ideas, and anyone who prefers speaking to typing. The app is not a call recorder.

A practical stop for everyday audio

Recordings can be arranged into categories, marked as favourites and labelled with tags or bookmarks. Those markers help you return to a particular part of a long memo or conversation instead of searching through the entire file. You can also share recorded files with other apps when a note needs to reach a colleague, classmate or editing tool.

Control over the recording

Voice Recorder offers settings for recording quality, including sample rate and stereo recording. Built-in Android audio effects can help with noise, echo and gain, while silence removal can reduce empty stretches in a recording. The app can work with a device microphone or an external Bluetooth microphone, and it supports Android Wear devices. Recording quality still depends on the microphone and device being used.

Scale and useful extras

The app has a 4.75 rating from 93,147 reviews and more than 10,000,000 installs, giving it a well-established place on the Music & Audio route. Beyond capture, it includes on-device transcription, trimming and cutting tools, Wi-Fi transfer to a computer, and Google Drive and Dropbox integration for backups and access across devices. Location can also be added to recordings automatically, allowing them to be searched by address.
